Next Tuesday, July 14 is the opening night of the NFR Open at the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo. Your friends at Axio and the rest of the PPOBR team are ready to start this Rodeo in a big way and we need you there to help make that happen. We’ll be honoring U.S. Army SMDC & MDA that evening (honoring our local military is at the heart of this Rodeo at every performance). It’ll be no surprise to our readers that the sports fans at Team Axio have been eagerly following this year’s World Cup action. With a marketing moment this big, spanning television, social media, merchandise and more, there’s just as much happening off the pitch. Social media has been awash with viral videos of visiting international supporters sampling American culture and cuisine, forming new bonds with fans in U.S. host cities. With Scotland’s “Tartan Army” rolling into Boston en masse for their games against Morocco and Haiti, United Airlines pounced on the opportunity to proudly promote the fact that they offer flights to two destinations in Scotland. We love seeing agile brands take advantage of moments like these—the kind often produced by major sporting events—which can result in unique, memorable creative.
