🌿 We're Celebrating National Gardening Week!
Thoughtful educational design extends beyond the building itself. Outdoor learning environments can become powerful teaching tools, supporting student wellness, engagement, and hands-on discovery!
At Adventure Elementary, the Gardening Club transforms outdoor space into a living classroom where students explore science, develop responsibility, and strengthen critical thinking skills through hands-on experiences.
At East Middle School, the Community Garden—part of the Denver Urban Gardens network—provides students with opportunities to engage in sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community-based learning.
We're proud to have partnered with schools that recognize the importance of learning environments that help students grow 🌿 both academically and personally!

This Bike to Work Month, we're proud to support Bike Colorado Springs and the efforts to create safer, more connected transportation options throughout Colorado Springs.
Thanks, Bruce, for leading by example!!

Happy National Historic Preservation Month!
As May comes to a close, historic preservation is about more than restoring buildings — it’s about protecting the stories, traditions, and community identity woven into them for generations.
This Historic Preservation Day, we’re proud to highlight our work on the Peel House at First Lutheran Church in Colorado Springs’ historic Old North End. Originally constructed in 1905–1906 as the Italian Renaissance-style “Mira de Flowers” mansion for William and Patty Jewett, the home has served the community in many ways throughout its 120+ year history.
Working alongside First Lutheran Church, Nunn Construction Inc., and Senger Design Group, CRP helped lead the thoughtful $3.6 million renovation and preservation effort that brought new life to this historic landmark while carefully maintaining its architectural character and significance.
The project included extensive accessibility and infrastructure upgrades — including a new elevator addition, modern mechanical and electrical systems, restored woodwork, refinished original fixtures, renovated gathering spaces, and preservation of historic details such as the original wall paneling, ceiling ornamentation, fireplaces, sconces, and millwork.
Today, the Peel House continues serving the Colorado Springs community as a gathering place for nonprofit organizations, ministry partners, meetings, support groups, and outreach programs — proving that historic preservation is not simply about honoring the past, but about creating spaces that continue shaping communities for the future.
At CRP Architects, we’re honored to help preserve the places that carry community legacy forward for generations to come.
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! 📓🍎🎉
At CRP Architects, nearly 75% of our work is in K–12 education—and that’s no coincidence. We have a deep appreciation for the educators and leaders who bring these spaces to life every day!
This week, we were honored to support the Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 Leadership Team by providing breakfast, catered by the incredible D8 Culinary program—an awesome example of students, staff, and community coming together.
To all the teachers shaping future generations—thank you, thank you, thank you. We’re grateful for all that you do and proud to design spaces that support your impact!

Happy Small Business Week! 🎉
At CRP Architects, we’re proud to be a small business rooted in relationships, community, and a commitment to meaningful design. For over four decades, we’ve had the privilege of partnering with schools, districts, and organizations to create spaces that truly serve the people who use them.
This week is a celebration of the entrepreneurs, innovators, and local businesses that strengthen our communities—and we’re honored to be part of that network.
We’re especially excited to share that our Leadership Team will be attending both events, and our very own Brian Risley will be a speaker at this year’s Pikes Peak Small Business Week—joining other leaders to support and inspire the small business community.
If you haven’t checked it out yet, there’s still time to get involved:
