Welcome To Our Exotic Cattery "Riff Raff Bengals" of Colorado Springs, CO

If you're new here then you probably don't know that Flounder and I live in house with an alligator moat around our yard. It helps keep the humans away and given that neither of us enjoys interacting with humans, we quite love our alligator moat. That being said, our part of the moat is where the baby alligators play so there's low risk to Flounder when we're out in the yard, but doesn't mean I'm not still careful so please hold onto your alligator knowledge (and lack thereof) for an account that is more unfamiliar with alligators. Flounder doesn't have an "alligator" button and the reason for this is because when she combines words, it lessens the chance of coincidence. I also like to observe her understanding of things. Same reason she doesn't have a "life vest" or a "wine" button. All of those things are two buttons that can be combined. Doesn't mean she won't get an "alligator" button in the future. Anyway, she seems to find the water strangers fascinating because they swim like fish (her - Yes shes a fish. This isn’t a typo. Get over yourselves), but they also come out on land (also like her). Her issue seems to be that when they come on land, they don't move. They just lay there. So, like what's their purpose on land? She's working through it, but she does like to document her findings and let me know exactly what she has observed. She's going to be the Jane Goodall of water strangers when she grows up! 01/03/2026
