Too Many Scholarships, Not Enough Native Students Applying Dr. Dean Chavers discusses the abundance of scholarships available and the lack of Native American students applying for them.

Representative Joe Salazar needs strong community support to pass two bills in the upcoming session! These bills are essential to the educational success of American Indian and Alaska Native students.
One bill eliminates racist mascots and team names at all Colorado schools. The other allows instate-tuition at Colorado public colleges and universities for students from tribes with historical ties to Colorado.
Please come to the Denver Indian Center - large conference room on Wednesday, September 10 at 4:30 pm to learn more. Our young people need our help to get these passed!
