Take Me Out to the Gummy Bears!

⚾ First Games are July 10 at 7 and 8 PM

Its Prairie Gummy Bears Softball season! We begin our season on July 10 with a double header at 7 and 8 pm at Cottonwood Creek Park (7040 Rangewood Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80922). URGENT CALL FOR FIREFIGHTER SUPPORT 🚒

A request has been received from Prairie UMC to support the firefighters and law enforcement personnel responding to the wildfires near Pueblo and Cañon City.

Hundreds of first responders are working long hours on these incidents, and donations of bottled water, sports drinks, and individually packaged snacks are being collected to help support them.

Donations may be dropped off by 10:00 a.m. on Friday.

The collected supplies will be delivered to the affected area around noon on Friday.

Every June, UMC clergy and laity from across the Mountain Sky Conference of The United Methodist Church gather for Annual Conference (AC). This year, a number of Prairie UMC folks traveled to Billings, MT, to attend AC. Ann Shimizu served as our official lay representative and Vange Perryman served as a Lay Equalization representative. And there was so much to celebrate! Most especially, AC announced Prairie’s new chapter as a chartered congregation, as the 20 Prairie folks in attendance came forward. During that moment, Prairie was given a beautiful sign with our chartering date, which we will hang in the new Prairie office. At the request of the bishop, Prairie supplied streamers for attendees to throw for the celebration, so a little Prairie flair was shared with the whole conference!
