We have a new team member! Welcome Martie! I remember meeting Martie during COVID, back in 2020. She would come hang out in my garden with me and we would just talk and talk. I am sooo happy that we can work together! And she is a whole midwife! I am so proud of her accomplishments and so excited to see how our collaboration unfolds!

One of the things that sets The Well Rounded Belly apart: every doula on our team is trained in Bengkung belly binding.

That's us practicing at a recent team meeting. We get together monthly for continuing education and skills practice — and belly binding is always part of it.

Bengkung is a traditional Malaysian postpartum technique that wraps and supports the abdomen after birth. It promotes warmth, helps with physical healing, and provides a kind of care that feels deeply intentional. It's one of the most meaningful things we offer our postpartum clients.

And because every one of our doulas is trained, every family we work with has access to it — no matter who their doula is.
