This past Saturday, Jacqueline Peagler and the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. rolled up their sleeves and served in the kitchen at Transitions Homeless Center — and for this group, it was not their first time showing up for our clients.
Last Christmas, Jacqueline and her team from the Fort Jackson Army Military Pay Office collected and donated care bags filled with shoes, socks, and warm items to residents at Transitions. Saturday was another chapter in what is becoming a beautiful tradition of service.
For the women of Zeta Phi Beta, whose pillars are Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood, this is not charity — it is a calling. And our clients feel the difference.
Thank you, Jacqueline, and thank you to the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta for continuing to show up for our neighbors in need.

A huge thank you to the team at Heidelberg Materials for rolling up their sleeves and serving in the kitchen at Transitions Homeless Center! Volunteering alongside our residents is one of the most meaningful ways a company can invest in its community — and the research backs it up: hands-on service opportunities strengthen team bonds, boost morale, and improve employee retention.
We are proud to partner with companies like Heidelberg Materials that understand service is good for the soul and good for business. If your company is looking for a powerful way to engage your team, we'd love to have you.
