Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Dr. King’s work reminds us that mental health, dignity, and equity are deeply connected. His vision of justice and compassion continues to guide how we care for individuals, families, and communities.
At the heart of behavioral health is the belief that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and supported. As we reflect today, we recommit ourselves to reducing stigma, expanding access to care, and advocating for systems that promote healing and hope for all.
“Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane.” — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
May we continue to lead with empathy, courage, and purpose.
Proud to share an exceptional milestone from our JusticeWorks South Carolina team. Their recent COA recertification highlights the strength of their work and dedication to quality care.
Accreditation reviews in behavioral health are no small task, but our JusticeWorks South Carolina team rose to the challenge and delivered outstanding results.
This October, Renee Kresge (Regional Director) and Emma Rava, LISW-CPS (Clinical Director), led JusticeWorks BehavioralCare through the Council on Accreditation (COA) recertification. Thanks to strong quality controls and a best-practice approach, the team delivered at the highest level.
COA reviewers Viviane Ngwa and Karen Locke reported zero out-of-compliance ratings across all practice standards, an achievement that’s incredibly rare in our field. Because of this, our program was expedited through pre-commission and awarded full certification.
This milestone reflects the team’s commitment to excellence and to doing “Whatever It Takes” for the youth and families we serve.
Huge congratulations to Renee, Emma, and the entire JusticeWorks South Carolina team!
