The problem is we associate the word grind with time. Sure, we can measure time. But the quality of work is really what is important in this statement.

For example 500 shots vs 500 makes. Sure, we both worked out. But what was the real investment? What would the return be? 500 shots I broke a sweat - but the muscle memory I developed does not have a positive translation to game action.

Makes however, help you MAKE SHOTS in a game.

We’ve gotta stop lying to ourselves. We gotta stop lying to our children. This is in all things. Don’t just work hard. Work correctly.
