Congratulations to Joel, David, and Nathan (l to r below), aka as The New State of the Ozarks, on the release of their new album "Favorite Tunes from the Missouri Ozarks" on Bandcamp.

Take a listen at the link. You might be inclined to dance, or tap your feet. Perhaps not conducive to writing grants and final reports, but joyous nonetheless.

The Osage Bluff quilter Patti Cardwell Tappel specializes in paper piecing. She quilts for friends, family, and the annual August auction at her local parish. In addition to the other symbols she added, Patti represented all five military branches at the quilt's bottom.

The original winner of this quilt donated it for auction again in 2019, that time in support of Quilts for Valor and K-9’s on the Front Line.

Next week, Patti and other quilters will have patriotic quilts on display [though not this one!] in Holts Summit at the Rooster Creek Quilt Show on July 9 from 11 - 3 at St. Andrew Catholic Church.
