To close out 2025 we’re grateful to have Jammer Hiltner () for December’s Artist!

Jammer’s work in the shop is from his series, “Stories In Space. An Ongoing Practice In Negative Space.”

“From the hum of sound machines on nightstands to the endless scrolling of social media, few moments in modern life met with quiet. Stories in Space seeks to capture the stillness and peace of a spacious quiet moment. Through the use of negative space, the removal of distractions, and the practice of patient observation, viewers are invited to embrace stillness. The ultimate goal being to inspire us to seek, cherish, and find meaning in the quiet moments of our lives”.

Jammer Hiltner is a photographer based in Franklinton and driven by a passion for capturing the quiet, overlooked moments of life. With eight years of experience behind the lens, Jammer has traveled extensively, creating evocative imagery throughout the U.S. and in Cambodia, India, Thailand, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Bonaire. Their work is rooted in a profound appreciation for stillness and simplicity, employing patient observation to tell compelling visual stories.

Jammer’s dedication extends beyond artistic expression, collaborating with nonprofits and organizations like Sanctuary Night, Refugee Connect, and the Native American Indian Center of Central Ohio to amplify meaningful causes. From local initiatives to international efforts, their photography aims to connect audiences with the human experience, inspiring empathy and reflection.

For August’s Artist of the Month, we’re welcoming Charlotte Tubbs!

She’ll be holding an opening reception at 6PM this evening, (8/2/25), please come check it out!

“I am so excited to have my work up at One Line for the month of August! This is my second art show, the first one being over a year ago at another cafe. This year, I wanted to focus on my passion for birds and other wildlife. On the walls, you will see a collection of original watercolor and acrylic paintings of various bird species. You may also see a few paintings of cows.

My love of birds started about 10 years ago when I tried out watercolors for the first time. I started with birds because of their simple shape, but soon realized I also loved their colors, their personality, and their environments. With over 10,000 distinct bird species in the world, the opportunities for inspiration are endless!

Originally, I am from the Washington DC area, but I have been living in Columbus for nearly five years. Besides painting, I love to dance, travel, and spend time with my family and friends. Speaking of them, I need to give them a HUGE shoutout for always being so supportive of me and my art!”

The El Salvador Don Jaime comes from the Chalatenango farm, named after the head farmer Jaime Guevara. It’s a Pacamara variety grown at an elevation between 1450 - 1600 meters that uses a natural process with raised bed drying.
