Meet Nia Johnson, a living example of what’s possible when a girl says yes to STEM. 💜

Nia Johnson is an Engineering Education Ph.D. Candidate and Program Manager at Ohio State University’s College of Engineering, where she works through CARE, a dedicated outreach program committed to connecting young people with real engineering experiences and opportunities. Her academic work lives at the intersection of education and engineering, focused on how we teach STEM, and more importantly, who gets access to it.

Simply put: Nia has dedicated her career to making sure girls like ours don’t feel like outsiders in spaces they were always meant to be in.

This summer, she’s bringing that mission straight to KINDkamp.

Nia will be leading a hands-on STEM session. Our girls can look forward to an activity that is designed to be engaging, age-appropriate, and most importantly… FUN! Because Nia knows the best way to get a girl excited about engineering is to let her experience it with her own two hands.

This is what KINDkamp is built on…putting women like Nia in front of girls not just to learn from her, but to see themselves in her.
