I am often asked “How long can a cat survive in a tree”? The answer :“It depends on a lot of factors” –The cat’s health, weather conditions -extreme heat/cold are bad, rainfall is good. and I think the tenacity of the cat also plays a role in this fight for survival.
This cat named Loki spent 18 days in the tip top of this spruce tree. Early on, climbers tried to reach him but were unable. It was sketchy up there but there are precautions that can keep a possible breakout from equaling a fall to the ground.

Loki was tenacious for survival but frightened into freeze mode. Cats can be super resilient creatures when they are in peak health and Loki is a testament to that.
