When I was 11 or 12 I was wondering around a fleamarket somewhere in South Carolina. I stumbled across a box of FANGORIA Magazines. Up until that point horror movies terrified me. When I discovered the rchnical side of special effects I was hooked. I read everything I could find and watched as many documentaries as I could (renting VHS tapes in the mid 80s lol) I always wanted to do movies. I have been able to satisfy that desire with Backwoodz Oddities presents The Last Carnival Haunted House for the past 14 or so years. Now I'm working on a creature suit and special effects for a film. Today I stumbled across 2 issues of FANGORIA featuring one of my first SFX idols Tom Savini and one of my favorite actors Bill Moseley in the first role I remember him from Chop Top. It brought all the nostalgia of all the projects I've done and it makes me excited to see what I do next. Never stop making magic!
