Great Debate - Student Union 11/22/1996

O God, we know You love the game, for we no sooner landed on earth than we had a ball in our hand to throw or kick, or wrestle away from someone else. Taking sides is as natural to us as running, and where did we get the will to win if not from You?
Forgive us for forgetting that You carried the ball for us long before we caught on, Who tossed up the stars with such incredible speed and accuracy, are not athletic..
Help us to play our best with no one getting hurt. Help Michigan to be good losers as soon as we’ve cheered for You. And since we cheer for You first, in Your ultimate victory, in the great Game of life, remember us now as we all yell together, “Go Bucks!”
