One way to make an entrance every time you come home
Get organized for fall - design tip #6:
We've all heard of the mudroom, but have you ever thought of this space as the Owner's Entrance?
If this is the room you come in and out of EVERYDAY, it should not be just utilitarian. Organized yes... but also interesting and enjoyable to YOU.
Add some personality to your owner's entrance and try some of the following:
- Put wallpaper or a pop of color on the ceiling
- Add special or fun art on the walls
- Go outside of your comfort zone with a fun floor choice or wall color
- Keep it durable and funky with metals, laminates, glass or tiles.
- Have fun with vintage or eclectic light fixtures on the ceiling
- Use a cool barn door to hide the mess from the rest of the house
