🌟 Ohio Recognized for Excellence in Special Education 🌟

The State of Ohio has been recognized by the U.S. Office of Special Education Programs with a 2026 determination of “Meets Requirements.” This honor reflects the commitment of educators, families, partners, and leaders across the state working to strengthen IDEA implementation and improve outcomes for students with disabilities.

Ohio was one of only 20 states to receive this highest rating 🏆 and was also recognized for continued improvement over time. This progress reflects strong, sustained work across the state to support both compliance and results.

A key focus of Ohio’s work is improving graduation outcomes through the Each Child On Track initiative 🎓, which uses early warning systems and coordinated supports to help identify students at risk and intervene early.
