My jalapeƱo plant is blooming and prepping to give me peppers AND my jasmine plant is blooming again so I get this very cool mix of smells from my cute lil white flowers. Happy Friday! Xoxo

This time last year I was in Detroit, in love and stuck in a cycle of dysregulation that made it impossible for me to enjoy the stuff I was experiencing. It was terrifying and pretty defeating. And it kept me from being truly vulnerable and honest. Love without vulnerability is, er, complicated and definitely not fair for all parties involved, lemme tell ya.

This year I am regulated, happy and clear. Deconstructing last years experiences in a clear and safe space has done wonders and I'm glad I got serious about myself and decided to do it.

Love is amazing and experiencing it has made my life super rich. But being in love while experiencing dysfunction is like have a million bucks, bad money managing skills and amnesia. One day, all the money is gone and you don't even remember how you spent it!

I'm excited about where this next journey is going to take me and appreciate the homies that helped keep me grounded. I'm not going to be perfect, but next time, ya boy is going to be available.

Omg, emotionally available me? It's been 4 years and I can't wait to meet him!

I've felt love that has set my heart on fire. I have also felt a love that has calmed me to my core. Holding out for the real thing feels really good right about now. It's a new kind of self care.

Love has been tricky for me since my ex-wife and I split. I definitely understand that the rules are different for certain relationships, and I'm learning a lot about my new attachment styles. Because they're different. The big assignment is to forgive myself for choices I've made and to learn how to do and be better.

We all want love. I definitely do. But I've lost really important people by not prioritizing healthy love. So, here's to more of that. Healthy love feels really good.
