Our hotel is layered with unexpected storytelling. A big source of inspiration for our creative direction is rooted in our name: Plaas, which means ‘farm’ in Afrikaans. We’re incorporating a mix of African and farm-inspired elements in subtle ways throughout the house. This hand carved detail on one of our guest beds is looking 🔥 More to come!

We made the decision to add a dormer to the third floor hallway because, quite frankly, it felt too dark and creepy up here. With just a little work (swipe 😇), it all came together. Not only is there a ton of natural light pouring in now, but this barrel arch is stunning to look at!
