🌫️🐾 Smoke in the Air? Your Pets Feel It Too.

With wildfire smoke affecting air quality across Central Ohio, it’s important to help protect our furry family members.

Here are a few simple ways to keep them safe:

🐶 Keep outdoor time short.
Limit walks, playtime, and strenuous exercise—especially for puppies, senior pets, and pets with heart or respiratory conditions.

🏡 Stay indoors when possible.
Keep windows and doors closed, and run your air conditioning or an air purifier if available.

💧 Provide plenty of fresh water.
Smoke and heat can increase the risk of dehydration.

👀 Watch for signs of smoke irritation:
• Coughing
• Sneezing
• Difficulty breathing
• Increased panting
• Red or watery eyes
• Lethargy
• Decreased appetite
