On a recent visit to the , this installation by caught my immediate attention. He is one of 6 highlighted artists featured in the Greater Columbus Visual Arts Fellowship Exhibition.

I have included the placard so that you may read his words about this installation and meaning. Please slide through all images. Spiritus is still a work in progress. It is representations of the plight of passage of immigrants across bodies of water.

I am typically attracted to darker art or subject matter. The appearance of what seemed to be coffins immediately pulled me in. Reading more about this project, gave me more of an appreciation for this body at work.
