A tale of two cups...

Both of these vacuum cups were retained for 10 minutes and were placed to address shoulder pain. Can you guess where the most pain was located? Because cupping works by breaking up stagnant blood inside the body, it's no surprise that areas of greater stagnation will tend to turn a darker color and particularly for fitness enthusiasts and athletes, the accumulation of micro tears overtime will also manifest in greater blood stagnation.

I am happy to report that the patient's pain went away almost entirely after this one treatment and while further treatments will be needed because this is a chronic issue, being able to pick up one's arm without wincing is a blessing we should all be thankful for.
