A Message from A.D. (the big singer/gorilla):

Just wanted to say a final "goodbye" and "thank you" to everyone who has supported me during the times I've been fortunate enough to be the singer for Ragtop Down. Before joining this band, nobody had any interest in allowing an oversized, grumpy-looking old man with a quiet disposition to be the frontman of their band. This band took a chance on me, and I like to think that we proved everyone wrong.

Being in Ragtop Down has given me the opportunity to play for thousands of people all over this state, and a Facebook post could never truly convey how grateful I am for every person who took to the dance floor. And to every person who sang along or pounded the table in time with the music. For every cheer, every compliment, every free beer, every song request, every high-five, fist bump, or hug...
And especially for all of the people who became my friends over the last few years.

Most importantly, it can't convey how much gratitude I have for the guys in the band (and the wives) for putting up with hectic schedules, booked weekends, and my difficult standards.
Andy, Don, Doug, Mark, and Dave: I know you're going to continue to bless the world with your talents.

I came up with the band's name from a line in a Gillian Welch song:

"Oh, me-oh my-oh, look at Miss Ohio
She's runnin' around with her ragtop down.
She says, 'I wanna do right...

...but not right now.'"

I hope all of you - the band, the fans, our friends - continue on in that spirit. Keep having fun and being free; we can get right with the world tomorrow.

I know I will. And I hope you'll come see me and hear me sing about it when I do.

Hey, everyone! Randy and Teresa are good friends of the band, and have been great supporters of us. We were lucky enough to play the Mooseriders event on Teresa's birthday last week, but unfortunately, they were involved in a motorcycle accident the next day.

THIS WEEKEND! We're coming back to Springfield DAV Chapter 13 for another fun night on the patio! Come on out and join us! Public welcome, cash only bar!

THANK YOU Desperados Bar & Grill and Route 30 Harley-Davidson for another great Bike Night! It was a packed house, and the crowd was fantastic the entire night!
