Happy Juneteenth!

Today, we honor the resilience, contributions, and enduring legacy of African Americans whose pursuit of freedom and justice has helped shape our nation.

In observance of Juneteenth, MY Project USA offices are closed today as our team takes time to reflect and celebrate this important day.

As an organization serving more than 10,000 individuals each month, we witness the strength that comes from bringing communities together. While the history commemorated by Juneteenth is uniquely rooted in the African American experience, its lessons continue to inspire people from all backgrounds.

The courage, perseverance, and sacrifices of generations of African Americans helped move our nation closer to its highest ideals and expanded opportunities for countless others, including many New Americans who have come to this country seeking freedom, dignity, and the chance to build a better future. Their story reminds us that progress is possible when people refuse to give up hope and continue working toward a more just society.

Juneteenth is both a celebration of freedom and a reminder of our shared responsibility to build communities where every person has the opportunity to thrive.

Today, we celebrate freedom. Every day, we remain committed to advancing justice, equity, opportunity, and hope for all.

🌉 Building Bridges, Strengthening Belonging

MY Project USA is proud to present the launch of MY Wellness Warriors—a new youth leadership initiative designed to empower Muslim high school students to become advocates for wellness, belonging, and positive community change.

Join us as we bring together youth, parents, families, mosque leaders, educators, and community partners for an evening focused on strengthening our communities through connection, understanding, and leadership.

This initiative is presented by MY Project USA through MY Leaders Lab, in collaboration with our incredible community partners:
• Noor Islamic Cultural Center
• Turkish American Society of Ohio (TASO)
• Islamic Cultural & Relief Association (ICRA)
• North American Islamic Medical Association (NAIMA)

This program is made possible through funding and support from the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board of Franklin County (ADAMH) and the City of Columbus.

Together, we're creating spaces where young people feel seen, heard, supported, and empowered to lead.

🎗️ FREE Cancer Prevention & Screening Program Coming to Hilltop!

Early detection saves lives.

Hilltop Free Clinic at MY Project USA, with support from the McKesson Foundation, is launching a community cancer prevention and screening initiative for uninsured, underinsured, and underserved residents.

We are helping community members connect with free or low-cost screenings for:

✅ Breast Cancer
✅ Cervical Cancer
✅ Colorectal Cancer
✅ Lung Cancer
✅ Skin Cancer
✅ Hepatitis B & Liver Cancer Prevention

How it works:

1️⃣ Complete our Interest Form today.
2️⃣ Select the type(s) of cancer screening you are interested in.
3️⃣ Our Registration Team will contact you.
4️⃣ We will help determine eligibility and schedule the appropriate screening appointment.
