A Severe Thunderstorm WARNING has been issued for Lee, Macon, and northern Russell County in East Central Alabama until 5:45PM CDT. This includes Auburn, Hurtsboro, Opelika, Phenix City, and Smiths Station. Main hazards will be 60 mph wind gusts, quarter size hail, and dangerous lightning.
RADAR UPDATE: A line of severe storms continues to move southward through Alabama with some of the activity crossing the border in western Georgia. The main threat is strong damaging winds up to 70 MPH, but some isolated hail will be possible. There are over 130,000 people already without power across north Alabama!

A Severe Thunderstorm WATCH has been issued for all of West Central Georgia until 10:00pm EDT. This does include Columbus and LaGrange. Main hazards will be strong damaging winds up to 70 MPH and cloud-to-ground lightning. Isolated hail is also possible.
