Camp Northstar 2025

Words can’t begin to describe how grateful I am to have worked with such an amazing group of people this past Tuesday! This year I was fortunate to partner with Dennis Ricci of the Long Island Drum Center.

It was so great to see so many familiar faces from last year and catch up with everyone!

As drummers we’re usually tucked away in the back of the stage as support instrumentalists, but at Camp I was treated like a rock star and propelled to front and center; the campers even asked me to play solo!

Together we worked through a group warm up covering singles, doubles, and paradiddles, had a ton of fun playing call and response games and wrapped up our sessions with group play alongs!

Huge thank you to Linda Arminio and Camp Northstar for putting together an amazing camping experience for all; The Veraszto and Amadeo families for getting me involved and for their continued support; Dennis Ricci and the Long Island Drum Center for sponsoring this year and providing each camper with a pair of sticks to take home!

I’m extremely grateful to have worked with this amazing organization for the second time now. Working with Camp Northstar has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career so far, and I’m looking forward to 2026 and beyond!
