Born on July 16, 1941, in Ellijay, Georgia, Rev. Dr. Dalrymple dedicated his life to faith, family, and service, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know him.

Rev. Dr. Dalrymple's life was one of unwavering commitment to his calling. For more than sixty years, he faithfully ministered the Gospel, offering spiritual guidance, strength, and compassion to congregations and individuals alike. Of those decades in ministry, over thirty years were devoted to pastoring, during which his passion for shepherding his flock shone brightly. Whether standing behind the pulpit preaching God's Word or lending a hand with practical projects, he found deep fulfillment and meaning in his daily walk and work.

Service was truly at the core of Rev. Dr. Dalrymple's character. Before his many years of ministry, he honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army, demonstrating the same dedication, integrity, and steadfastness that would define his life in later years.

Beyond his public service and spiritual leadership, Rev. Dr. Dalrymple cherished the roles of husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Gail Dalrymple, who walked beside him through all seasons of life. His legacy continues through his sons, Dr. Vaughn Dalrymple and Dr. Stewart Dalrymple, and their wives, Lesley and Kathey, who have also been steadfast pillars of support. His sister Brenda Thomas and her husband Freddy Thomas also survive him, along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews who brought great joy to his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit Dalrymple and Mae Kilpatrick Dalrymple, who no doubt welcomed him home.

Those who knew Rev. Dr. Dalrymple remember him as happiest when preaching or, just as likely, with a hammer in hand, completing one of his many ongoing projects. His presence was a steady source of encouragement and reassurance; his words inspired hope, and his actions modeled the values of faith, perseverance, and compassion.

Family, friends, and many whose lives he touched are invited to gather and honor this remarkable man. Visitation will take place on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ivie Funeral Home, 1053 S. Elm Street, Commerce, GA 30529. An additional visitation will be held on

Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Pond Fork Baptist Church, 2615 Pond Fork Church Road, Pendergrass, GA 30567. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the church with Dr. Vaughn Dalrymple and Pastor Chris Hulsey officiating, with interment to take place in the church cemetery following the funeral service.

James "William" Campbell

James "William" Campbell, of Lula, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026. Born on May 14, 1943, in Banks County, GA, William spent 83 years leaving an indelible mark on his family and community, remembered for his steadfast character and enduring love for those around him.

William was the beloved son of William Aaron Campbell and Nettie Shubert Campbell, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his cherished wife, Sandra Standridge Campbell. Through every challenge and joy, William held his family close, embodying dedication and resilience.

He is survived by his children: sons Scott Campbell and Stacey Campbell, and daughters Sherry Ward and Shannon Pace. William's legacy lives on in his grandchildren, Marshal (Amber) Pace, and Sawyer Pace; and great-grandchild, Sageleigh Pace who were a continual source of pride and happiness for him. You could always find him in the stands cheering on his grandsons at all of their games. All the other fans and families knew him as "Pop."

William's life was shaped by the values of his upbringing in rural Georgia. Many people know William from his days as a pastor and later as the man at the "Gun Store." But only few recognize him as the star of a show at The Comedy Barn. But most just knew him as Pop and Momay's sidekick.
