Candidate for Compton City Council District 4

02/16/2024

Effective Community engagement is crucial for ensuring environmental justice and equitable outcomes.

I believe this is done through community empowerment and inclusion. Here are some of the ways I am planning on doing this:

Establish community task forces and advisory groups to provide a platform for residents to share their concerns, share insights, and participate in shaping solutions.

Tailor communication and engagement strategies to recognize and respect the cultural nuances and values of the communities involved.

Partner with local environmental justice organizations and community groups that have established connections with practical areas and collaborate on outreach and educational initiatives and advocacy efforts to address environmental concerns.

The success of our city will compound tenfold when we build relationships with neighboring cities and leaders who support our mission, vision, and values.

The support I am receiving from leaders through Los Angeles County is humbling and a driver for me to continue to push toward becoming the next District 4 Compton City Councilwoman.

I am happy to announce that San Gabriel City Councilman Eric Chan has endorsed me.
