Please welcome to the 008 Training Family as an Associate Instructor, Nina Najafizadeh‼️ Nina has been with 008 as a player/student since 2018 and now it comes full circle with her becoming an instructor ❤️
She will be giving private lessons in hitting and catching. Nina will begin lessons starting Saturday September 6th!
A little bit about Nina:
“I’ve been dedicated to softball for most of my life, spending four years on varsity at College Park and competing in high-level travel ball for a decade. After facing multiple injuries that forced me to step away, my love for the game brought me back, and I’m now continuing my journey at Consumnes River College in Sacramento, where I couldn’t be happier. Beyond playing, I have a passion for coaching and working with younger athletes, because it reminds me of why I started and how this sport has the power to change lives.”

A little bit about Catalina:
“My name is Catalina Buenrostro, and I’m very excited to be a part of the 008 community. As a 3-sport athlete in high school, I understand how valuable those moments on and off the field with teammates and coaches are. Softball has always been and will remain an outlet for me in life. I was given the opportunity to travel across the country to compete at the DII level in Vienna, West Virginia. This experience was able to teach me that hard work is the key to reaching all your dreams.
My passion for softball runs deep, having spent countless years both playing and learning the game. Throughout my playing career, I not only honed my technical skills but also developed an immense appreciation for teamwork, leadership, and resilience. These values are what I want to pass on to my players. Coaching is my way of giving back to the sport that has shaped so much of who I am today.
I believe in fostering a positive, growth-oriented environment where athletes are not only pushed to reach their full potential on the field, but also grow as individuals off the field. I want to help players build confidence, develop strong work ethics, and most importantly, enjoy the game. Every practice is an opportunity to learn, whether it’s improving a skill, understanding the game better, or building character as part of a team.
I aim to create a supportive atmosphere where players feel encouraged to challenge themselves, learn from mistakes, and celebrate their progress. For me, coaching is not just about winning, but about inspiring the next generation of athletes to love the game as much as I do.”
