The Foundation was started from Daniel Adler’s vision to create a gym that offered young athletes
Yesterday, I squeezed a medicine ball as hard as I could for 30 seconds. It’s probably the unsexiest thing you will see on your feed today, but it was very intense. I also did the same with my hip internally rotated in a half 90🔥 I did sets until I had no squeeze left.
💯For those who are trying to get 1% better in anything in this life, you must understand that many industries , especially the training industry has had to dumb things down for you.
The reason is because 99% folks do not like the truth. They want their truth. But your truth may not be “the truth”. Living in “your truth” for too long is a tough price to pay, but most will pay it, because getting away from your favorite gym circuit or exercises is just to much of a price to pay. If that’s the case, then shame on you for not willing to unlearn and be humble. You deserve every ounce of no results you get. You will not find empathy over here. You will only find a man telling you to take your mobility more serious.

Life is good. Finished my second sprint Triathlon yesterday at Lake Berryessa. I I never expected to get into triathlon racing as much as I’ve had. Thank you to for your inspiration. As far as the race went, I finished 58th of 111 males. 11th of 24 in my age group. I got better times in bike and run than Santa Cruz, but my swim time suffered because the wind beat the s**t out of me. The wind was awful on the bike. The first half was mostly uphill, and coming back hit headwind and had to pedal hard to go downhill. The run was mostly uphill the first 1.5 mile. I stopped and walked for 100 yards to collect some air. Then finished pretty hard, passing like 10 people. Overall, my work being cut out is an understatement. Very tough sport, much respect to all the athletes who compete in this.
Training for a complex, unpredictable environment in sports is about improving our range of strength. If was only pulling the band across on the same path every rep, it would neglect so many other lines of tissue that can and absolutely will be useful. Our body gets strong in the manners in which we express it. In functional strength training, the overall goal is building more range with more control. Here, we are working a fast twitch, dynamic effort. I’ll have him go until he loses speed/control on his reps.

I thought I would start it off with a little backstory about my experience with Ulcerative Colitis, a brutal auto immune disease that became the major reason I went down this road.
