Concord Reads: NH Fish & Game - The State's Role in Threatened and Endangered Wildlife Conservation 04/02/2026

Concord Reads 2026 events kick off next Tues, April 7th at 6 PM in the CPL Auditorium and registration is required!. Join us for a discussion by Josh Megyesy from NH Fish & Game's Nongame and Endangered Wildlife Program about the state's role in threatened and endangered wildlife conservation and what a wildlife biologist actually does.

Josh's talk will focus on the work he does for at-risk turtle populations in NH, including Blanding's, wood, spotted, and eastern box turtles. His focus will be on turtle monitoring protocols, regional planning, funding, and how is ties into the state's Wildlife Action Plan (WAP). Josh will also discuss the threats to turtles, the work being done to address those threats, and how the public and private landowners can play a critical role in that process. There will also be plenty of fun turtle biology and ecology facts with plenty of time for questions and discussion.

Follow the link to register for the event.
