Our Story
Operation Foster Child is a Christmas project created in 2008 based out of Concord, NC to show children that not all people in this world are bad. It started as a regular Christmas project, but grew into much more. A non-profit organization even. It started up right after our founder, Michael Driggers, got out of foster care himself to show the children that they are not alone in the world. What we do is team up with a local orphanage or foster homes and we help spread love to the children by hanging out with them and helping them get things they may need. During the Christmas season, we gather Christmas wish lists from all the children within the home. We then raise money and go shopping for the gifts on the wish lists. From there, we have a date set to go and have a Christmas party with the children. We go and have a great meal and fellowship with them for about 3-5 hours and give them their gifts. It brings joy to the children's eyes when they open their gifts and to see that people take the time out of their schedules to come hangout with them. Especially during Christmas time. Now, we don't only go see the children at Christmas. We try to stay in contact and volunteer as much as we can throughout the year. However, all of this couldn’t be made possible without the help of the community and the friends that help raise the money. We will be doing some fundraisers throughout the year to help raise money. If you would like to donate to Operation Foster Child you can do so by getting in contact with us or by clicking on the “Donate” tab. Or you can even show your support by volunteering your time to help us out with fundraisers.
