Authentic Brain Solutions
Starting counseling and searching for healing takes courage and embarking on the journey to find solutions that work for you.
ADHD is about so much more than attention.
Many people think ADHD simply means someone gets distracted easily. In reality, ADHD affects the brain's executive functions—the skills that help us plan, organize, manage emotions, remember information, regulate attention, and get started on tasks.
That means a child may know exactly what they're supposed to do but still struggle to begin. An adult may feel overwhelmed by everyday responsibilities despite being highly intelligent and capable.
When we understand why these challenges happen, we can replace judgment with curiosity, frustration with support, and criticism with practical strategies.
Throughout this week, I'll be sharing evidence-informed tips for parents and adults living with ADHD—because understanding the brain is the first step toward helping it thrive.
