3 years ago today my Dad passed. I walked off the field at the end of the sat morning matches at NXL Dallas and got the news. Right after that I bent down next to one of the 18 wheelers and told the kids. Being strong for them in that moment was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. Now that I look back at the many lessons I learned from him maybe the last was the most important. We can choose to live life and appreciate the moment’s or we can live inside ourselves and just kinda wait to die. I’m going to wake up everyday and appreciate what the day brings, the good and the bad. I hope you do too.
