Many of us have woken up to some unwanted visitors over the last few weeks. TERMITE SWARMERS! And if you’ve called our office recently, you’ve probably already heard us mention it: it’s swarming season.

With the recent humidity and warmer temperatures, conditions are perfect for swarmers to emerge. Swarming does not necessarily mean you have termites in your home, but it does mean termite activity is nearby.

It’s also important to know that even if your home has a preventative termite treatment in place, you may still see swarmers from time to time — that’s simply the nature of the insect during swarming season.

The good news: seeing swarmers isn’t a reason to panic. This is a normal seasonal occurrence in our area. However, it is a great reminder to check and see if you have preventative measures in place.
