CW ... '77 ... I was 20 ... Right before my first pro fight! Now at 69, I see the face but I don't recognize it ... I see the eyes but somehow they're different ... Now I can almost feel the same zeal, the energy, the enthusiasm, but something is different! The definition of the verb "wane": To gradually decrease in size, strength, power or intensity! I'm fighting it ... I'm FIGHTING it!!!

Jerry Quarry ... The "Baddest" Hvywt to never win the title. He fought em' all: Muhammad Ali (twice), Joe Frazier (twice), Ken Norton, Ernie Shavers, Ron Lyle, George Chuvalo, Jimmy Ellis, Floyd Patterson ... He spent 8 yrs ranked in the top ten hvywts in the world, and most of those yrs in the top five! A very good friend of mine, he did the commentary on my first TV network fight in '75. LEGEND!!! A great friend! Thx for all you did for me, Jerry!!!
