Nothing Interesting

I’m so excited to be nearing the end of post production on AMITYVILLE WOMEN’S PRISON CHAINSAW MASSACRE. What started years ago as a joke between two filmmaker friends has gone from an idea for a fake trailer for Texas Frightmare into a fun short film with actual distribution from one of the longest running indie companies around.

It’s pure grindhouse sleaze, chock full of nudity and gore, quirky dialogue, and a hulking serial killer… and a nun!!

And it gave me an idea for a mock trailer……………..which I’ll be working on soon. 😉

Well, this was a really cool surprise! Though, I have no idea how or why it got sent to my old address that I haven’t lived at in two years, but it did wind up in my parents’ hands instead.

I digress! I wasn’t expecting a trophy from the Boomtown Film and Music Festival, but it was certainly welcomed!

I had been informed of my win about a month before the festival because of their plans to perform it LIVE, and while I wasn’t able to attend in person, I hear it went over very well with their audience. I haven’t had the chance to listen to the full performance, but I will soon.

Thanks so much to every festival that has accepted my nasty little grindhouse splatter comedy script, and especially thanks to the festivals who saw fit to give it awards!

This has been a wild ride, and it’s nearly over for the film festival side. I plan to pitch it VERY soon to some high powered producers, and have some ins with really cool genre film companies, so the sky is the limit!

NOW, LET’S MAKE THIS FU***NG MOVIE.

My award-winning screenplay ANOTHER NIGHT AT BEAVER'S was chosen as the WINNER of Best Screenplay at this year's Boomtown Film & Music Festival, and as a result, they're having a LIVE READING of the screenplay at the festival at the end of February!!!!
I will unfortunately be unable to attend, but I'd still love it if some of my friends were able to attend it and be entertained by my insanity.
