It’s Amber Day here at Select Power and Lighting.

A little more than a year ago Amber reached out to us to “shadow” us for a day on a job site. She wanted to try her hands at being an electrician and one day of shadowing turned into a whole year and a new career.

It’s bittersweet but today is Amber’s last day. Through her own skill and initiative she has secured a job in the IBEW. I personally could not be more proud of her. Being able to help someone start their career will always be a thing I’ll be most proud of.

She’s been a favorite of clients over the year. If anyone ever told Amber that a girl can’t be an electrician she flat out didn’t listen. She’s been a gem to work with. So help me in wishing her the best in her electrical journey!

We officially hit 30 5 star reviews this week! Quite the milestone and I couldn’t be more proud of the crew.

We do light fixtures. The bigger, the better.

2025; a year of bright lights and brighter smiles. Thank you all for your support over the past year and we look forward to our continued relationship in the new year!

Merry Christmas from all of us here at Select Power and Lighting! You’re all great people and deserve no coal.

As we all know, the government shutdown has affected many people — from federal employees to families relying on government benefits.

At Select Power and Lighting, we didn’t go into business just to make money — we’re here to serve our community.
