Any messages about orders sent to my personal phone number will not be accepted, I’ve received way too many scam orders via my personal number over the past few days. I try to hear them out long enough to decipher if it’s a real customer or a scammer but that only gets me cussed out, harassed, and threatened.

Yes, THREATENED! Sadly that word doesn’t scratch the surface as to how severe the threats that were made towards me and my family were.

Of course this does not apply to close friends/family or anyone that I myself have given my personal number to, but any messages about an order from an UNKNOWN number will be blocked for my safety as well as my family’s safety.

I hate that it’s come to this and I love what I do, but my family and I’s safety is not worth the risk. I’m sorry if any of you think this post may come across as harsh because that’s not my intention at all. My intention is to make everyone aware that I will only accept orders through social media or 501-518-0929 for safety reasons so that Flour Power can continue to make cake dreams come true.

The sauce💧 Yes, this was a real comment. I have never talked about pricing so much on my page because I’ve always been an advocate of charging what works best for you & your business & the only people who deserve an explanation are paying customers. But I’m finding lots of non business owners truly don’t understand why custom bakers charge what we do. My page is & always will be a source of education for bakers & non-bakers. Some will understand, others won’t. My baker friends: one thing I want you to never, EVER do is charge less because a big box supermarket that receives all their desserts frozen from a factory miles & miles away stuffed with preservatives to be able to keep them on the shelf for weeks does. We are not the same. Just reading the ingredient list of supermarket desserts will tell you that. #baker #bakery #homebaking #homebaker #homebakery

Sure, and while we’re at it, let’s blow all our product/displays to the ground 😅 While I love getting a chance to hang out with other local makers, meeting new people and reconnecting with some of my regulars. The unpredictability of the weather strongly deters me from the outdoor markets these days! This year I only applied to 2 indoor markets.
