The Federal Government has phased out R-22 freon refrigerant. If your air conditioner or heat pump uses R-22, refilling the freon will cost over $700. If you get that done twice per year, you will spend around $1,400 per year just to maintain your older ac or heat pump unit! Spend that money on a new system instead.
