On Thursday, July 9, 2026, at approximately 10:44 p.m., Conway Police Department officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire in the area of Hairston Avenue and Manor Street.

Upon arrival, officers discovered an unoccupied vehicle that had apparently been struck multiple times by gunfire.

Based on the preliminary investigation, the involved parties knew one another. No injuries were discovered, and no damage was located to any property other than the vehicle. This appears to have been an isolated incident.

The suspects fled the area following the shooting. Within approximately 30 minutes, Conway police officers located and apprehended two juvenile suspects less than a mile from the original scene, including one who attempted to flee from officers on foot before being taken into custody.

During the arrests, officers recovered two handguns, both of which had previously been reported stolen.

At this time, both juvenile suspects have been charged with:

Aggravated Assault
Criminal Mischief in the First Degree
Theft by Receiving

Additionally, one suspect has the added charge of Fleeing.

Because the suspects are juveniles, no names or identifying information will be released.

This investigation remains active, and additional charges may be filed as investigators continue to gather evidence and review all available information.
