A Heat Advisory is in effect for all of Horry County until 8 p.m.

Heat indices will once again be in the lower 100s.

Stay hydrated and try to avoid strenuous activities outdoors during the hottest parts of the day.

A few strong thunderstorms will be possible later today as well. Remain weather aware.

Another hot and humid day in store for Southeast NC and Northeast SC. Afternoon heat indices are expected to again breach 105 degrees thus resulting in the issuance of a Heat Advisory for the mentioned region.

A good reminder that just because the weather is pleasant, it doesn’t mean hazards do not exist.

There will be a moderate risk for rip currents at area beaches today.
