🔥 Fire Up the Grill, Not an Emergency! 🍔

Backyard cookouts are one of the best parts of summer. Before you light the grill, take a few simple steps to help keep your family, friends, and home safe.

Key Reminders:

• Keep grills at least 10 feet from homes and anything that can burn.
• Never leave a hot grill unattended.
• Keep children and pets at least 3 feet from the grill.
• Cook food to safe temperatures using a food thermometer.
• Keep a fire extinguisher nearby.

A little preparation goes a long way toward keeping the focus on great food and great memories.

A portion of our county is under a level 3 out of 5 risk for wind damage. The rest of the county is under a level 2/5. Make sure you put away and/or anchor anything that could blow away easily. Be safe while driving, and keep an eye out for tree limbs and debris.
