This year marks 10 years since the World Health Assembly’s historic resolution on palliative care—calling on all countries to strengthen palliative care as an essential part of comprehensive health. How far have we come? While progress has been made, with global palliative care services growing from 16,000 to 25,000 by 2017, only 12% of the need is being met. As we celebrate 20 years of World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, let’s reflect on the milestones and renew our commitment to ensuring that everyone in need has access to compassionate care.

During the week of October 6 – 12, we’re excited to celebrate National Physician Assistant Week! A physician assistant (PA) is a licensed medical professional who works with patients to diagnose and treat illnesses and perform procedures. We want to take a moment to recognize our amazing physician assistants and the incredible contributions they make to the medical community. We truly appreciate you and all that you do!
