So I wasn’t sure if I wanted to share this or not but I decided to anyways. I sometimes feel like I’m nagging and only posting the negative all the time. I just want everyone to know when things happen because I feel like the prayers work

These last few days my chest has felt pretty heavy and breathing was getting to be a bit difficult. I really noticed when I was riding my peloton last night that my breathing was not right. I couldn’t catch my breath nor did it feel great. I thought maybe I was just wore out from it being a chemo day and we did clean 4 houses before that. But you know me, I pushed through a 20 min ride anyways. Today, we cleaned 3 houses and while I was at the first house I emailed my nurse and let her know what was going on. She ordered another Thoracentesis (draining of liquid around lungs) for Tuesday at 10:45. Well as we were finishing our second house my chest felt like an elephant was stepping on me at this point, so I powered through. I called to let them know I wasn’t going to be able to wait until Tuesday and that I was just going to go into the ER to see what they can do for me.

An X-ray showed I had lots of fluid and they went ahead and did the procedure again. It’s only been 3 weeks since the last drainage procedure. They were able to get another liter and a half off my lungs and now I have to monitor how often this is happening so we can stay aware. Doc said that if it gets to be a regular procedure there is a drain tube I can have inserted in my back where I can drain the fluid myself, but I’m hoping it doesn’t come to that. Please say a prayer that this fluid does not continue to build. It’s not really something I’m looking forward to have done again.

Hi Everyone. So I guess I’m a little numb and pi**ed off at this whole situation. Even got A little emotional while working today.. (Cleaning really gives you time to think) Got some unsettling news from doc yesterday. Tumor markers are rising because the spots on my liver are starting to grow and new ones have appeared. I have another blood clot by my port, along with the one still in my jugular vein, so back on daily shots I go. Prob forever I’ll be on them now. The fluid I had removed had tested positive for cancer cells which means cancer is growing around my lungs as well now. Literally just got those results as I am writing this.. Dr.Favaro is changing the type of Chemo I get to a strong type. It will be 2 weeks of IV on Wed’s and then one week off. I was told they were going to give it the first 2 weeks to see if it held the spots and liver stable, if not he is going to switch me right away to another med he has. Let’s Pray this meds works because if I go through these meds and they don’t work, all I have left are clinical trails he said. He told me Matt and I should have a sit down talk because people do pass away from this disease and he wants us to be ready for what may come 😭😭It's a mess. I'm praying this next med shows them at least being stable and no more growth. All the other cancer in my body has shrunk or stayed stable. It’s just my DAMN liver!!! I wasn’t even a drinker for crying out loud!! It’s not fair… I start new chemo next week. I'll re-scan on June 7th and results on June 8th. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray for the best! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I’ll be 40 in Sept and I’ll be fighting my ass off to make it waaaaay past that!

Matt has already called and talked to Duke about there clinical trials just to see what’s out there and what I am considered for. I do not want to go back to Boston for them because then I’d have to move alone from my family so he can hold down the cleaning biz and kids 😫

Working is going to be a total nightmare, so I am hoping he was honest to me when he said that the symptoms will be the same as they are now. Otherwise that’s our only source of income. Looking at growing the biz but can do that without paying someone to help.

I don’t even have a life insurance policy which scares me to death, what is my family going to do??? 😭😭😭It’s like a double ended sword and it’s half way in me already! Sorry for not being as positive as I usually am but I’ll get back to that because I HAVE TOO. I have to fight, fight, fight!!!
