Summer has a way of turning up the volume on every insecurity you've ever had. Swimsuits, shorts, skin… and this unspoken pressure to look a certain way before you've even earned the right to enjoy the season.

The "summer body" narrative is loud, and honestly, it's exhausting 😩

But when I actually sit with my favorite summer memories, not a single one of them is about how I looked. Not one. They're about the moments I was fully there for. Jumping in the water without overthinking it, eating ice cream with my kids just because it was hot outside and that's what you do, laughing so hard my stomach hurt, staying up too late around a fire with people I love. That's what I remember!

The people who love you this summer are not keeping score. They're not noticing the things you're fixating on in the mirror. They just want you there, present and happy and all in, not standing on the edge of your own life waiting until you feel ready enough to live it!!

And I really do believe in growth. I believe in working hard, getting stronger, becoming the best version of yourself because you love yourself enough to try. But that work and that joy? They're not supposed to be opposites! You don't have to earn the right to enjoy your life. You can chase both at the same time!

So this summer, get in the water, say yes to the cookout, be in the photos and show up for the people who are already showing up for you! In the exact body you have right now, because this season won't come back around 💙
