A lot of misleading click-bait headlines have been discussed over the past week and a half regarding real estate and the NAR proposed settlement. Many comments from the media, the public, and even agents that clearly have not read the settlement documents, nor the articles, or interviews in which they are commenting.

This article is the first that aligns with many of the conversations we have had this past week.

In NC, we have had a buyer agency agreement that explains duties and compensation very well for many years. If you work with us, we require the discussion and signed agreement before working with any consumer. Not all firms or agents work the same. Not all states operate the same.

Real estate prices are based on supply and demand. “For Sale by Owner” is always an option. Buyers finding homes on their own, has always been an option.
