Target Secret Shopper Job Offer -
This scam alert is about a particular phishing attempt that has apparently been around since December of 2017. You receive an email from appears to be from Target (or other store) offering you a secret shopper job offer.

The store is reputable, the email looks legit, the grammar is proper, and who couldn’t use some extra cash?

Well it’s the amount of cash that will tip you off to this offer. Secret Shopper jobs do not offer hundreds of dollars for your services.

Also, if you do happen to click on the link to submit your info, most likely the url is now one controlled by the scammers and will no longer look like a proper email from the same company.. in this case Target. (I did not click on this email to verify, but that is how there things work).

Please do your research when an offer seems to good to be true. As well as any time you are being asked to provide your personal info to an entity that you did not directly contact.
