Today I had the honor of speaking to the next generation of women in engineering. It’s wild to think it’s been almost 10 years since I graduated with a degree in Architectural Engineering from TAMUK. A lot has happened between now and then, but at the same time it feels like I just blinked…and here I am.

I spent years designing HVAC systems in the commercial world. Now I design homes, spaces, and a life that fits my family. Different projects, same foundation: problem solving, precision and purpose.

Living out my childhood dream in a way I never could have planned. It’s okay to pivot, to pause, to try something new.

You only get one life, engineer it to your heart’s desire.💙💛

Hello everyone!🙋🏼‍♀️ I figured it’s about time I introduce myself. My name is Shannon Shows & I am a professional Architectural Engineer, design and DIY enthusiast, mama & wife. I have been in the building and design industry for 8 years and truly have a passion for anything building related.

From a very young age, I was always fascinated with the spaces we call home. I am an extremely detail oriented person and when it comes to design, I bring a broad perspective to the table with my engineering and architecture background.

My hope is to create a space of positivity and be a resource for those needing selections for your home or refreshing your spaces. I look forward to sharing all of my tips, tricks, and design inspirations with the occasional kiddo content.
