Coming up on 30 years of being a mom and 16 months working in the library Circulation Department. What do these things have in common?
+Never-done-ness
+Cycles--same tasks again and again
+Meaning and purpose in the big picture
The kids, clothes, diapers, dishes, house never stayed clean, and eventually they grew into wonderful adults, which is the purpose of parenting, isn't it?
The books, DVDs, board games, CDs, and "Things" are never all perfectly in place on their shelves. They keep circulating, which is the purpose of the library, isn't it?
So much of the meaningful stuff of life is cyclical, and I wish I'd appreciated that more as a young mom.
Jayanthi Joseph, Shanthi Joseph, Jesudas Mark Joseph, Kelsey Joline Joseph Anand Joseph, Gladwin Chakravarthy Joseph you all are awesome humans, and I'm thankful for you all.

I keep making tape and a sharpie pen handy to label and date leftovers. The freezer inventory sheet sounds useful. I think I'll pick one up today.
What helps you keep track of leftovers?
It’s Food Waste Prevention Week! Did you know that freezing leftovers can help you reduce food waste at home? The USDA says that 133 billion pounds of food are thrown away each year by retailers and consumers.
If you don’t think you’ll be able to eat leftovers within three days, freeze them! Make sure to label the container with the name of the food and the date they were frozen. For best quality, you can freeze most foods for at least 1 to 2 months.
In addition, freeze fruits and vegetables before they go bad. For tips on how to easily freeze different fruits and veggies, check out our Food Hero Monthlies:
